1.5% Management Fees?

I am still waiting for the answer from Jessica regarding the AIA investment fund charges. She told me that AIA charged 6.5% when we purchase the fund, then no charges when we sell the fund. But from what I read online, AIA charge 1.5% management fees annually. I am not sure what is the actually charges, therefore I need clarification before pay her.
If I purchase a $10K fund, I have to pay $650 for fist time charges then about $150 annually fees. Is it worth to buy? I am kind of curious, I never buy this kind of investment fund before, I think I better ask for more opinion. But who to ask?
